As if Microsoft’s sponsoring of a frat party that came off as no more than a nerdy, bumbling, mishandled attempt at being cool wasn’t enough. In the sleepy hours of the morning — we’re talking around 3:00 a.m. here — on the 25th of February Manhattan NY residents were presented with a gift from Zune. A free wakeup call! Residents of Ludlow street (Hell Square) were alerted that it was time for church that Sunday when a Toyota FJ Cruiser arrived loaded with a competition sound system. Only this pimped out ride wasn’t bumping the gospel!

As a native resident of New York myself I feel qualified to say that had this happened in say the south Bronx armed conflict would likely have ensued. Needless to say the residents of Hell Square are hot (pun totally intended)! So hot in fact that in true New Yawka fashion they already have a protest website up, where they are soliciting legal counsel. A true sign of the times I might add.

They even got a shot of the license plate which is just too awesome for words.

What’s ironic is I’m sure Microsoft isn’t the first noise ordinance violator in this area. But they are probably the only ones knuckleheaded enough to park long enough to get caught!
