Portable media players aren’t always devices you carry in your hand or pocket - sometimes they can be wearable as well. Such is the case with this new MP4 Player Watch ($57), which is currently for sale from wholesale Chinese electronics retailer Chinavasion.
This MP4 Player Watch is described as being widescreen. This might be a bit of a stretch given it only has a 1.8-inch color screen but hey, they can dream can’t they? To play movies it has a MTV movie player with included video conversion software. The watch, which has 2GB of internal memory, also supports other media file types such as JPEG, WMA, MP3 and WAV.
And, like Ginsu Knives, you get more. FM radio, voice recording, text display, a built-in speaker, USB 2.0 support, voice recording, a headphone jack with supplied earphones, music repeat modes and multiple on-screen languages. Whew - that’s a lot to cram into a watch and doesn’t even include the handful of accessories which come with it.
Even with all of these features, however, it can’t save the watch from being just plan fugly.

Yes the feature list does sound like a Ginsu knife ad. But you may find it doesn’t really have all the features Chinavasion claims on their web site. That has been my experience and they will not honor their claims or their so-called satisfaction guarantee.
