A European consumer electronics company by the name of Sweex recently unveiled a new portable media player which looks pretty cool. The new Blaze player, though we may never see it on American shores, will be available in capacities up to 4GB in Europe.
The Sweex Blaze PMP by default plays WMV video files, requiring included software to convert other video file formats to WMV. Outside of this it is also capable of handling MP3/WMA audio files and JPEG image files, among other formats. It has a 1.8-inch color screen and has a maximum rechargeable battery life of seven hours for audio and 2.5 hours for video playback.
Other features of the Blaze include USB 2.0 support, voice recording and what looks to be some built-in games. It ships with Sennheiser MX300 earphones, among other accessories.
