Hammacher Schlemmer, a retailer of luxury goods, is now selling what they are calling a “Portable Video iPod Enlarger And DVD Player” for around $250. This device combines a portable DVD player with a built-in iPod dock and 7-inch widescreen.

The Portable Video iPod Enlarger And DVD Player’s 7″ screen is a 16:9 widescreen LCD that is 2-1/2 times larger than the iPod’s screen and offers viewers 480 x 234 pixel resolution. A video iPod can be placed in the back of the player behind a clear plastic cover.

Other features of this portable DVD player/iPod accessory include a rechargeable battery which offers around 2-1/2 hours of playback between charges, an A/V port for output of video to a television, dual headphone jacks, a remote control and an on-screen menu display for setup.
