Great looking portable media player design meets average PMP feature set. That about sums up what you get from the recently announced Lanhui LH-400. Don’t get too attached though - it’s yet another player found in China which probably won’t ever see the light of day here.

The LH-400, as you can see from the picture, sports a smart looking steel shell, which its manufacturer says is a striking design based upon the metal silver. Tactile controls and a 2.4-inch, 320 x 240 QVGA display make up the exterior of a PMP which can play AVI video files at 24 frames per second. The LH-400 can also support MP3/WMA audio files and display JPEG images, downloading all of these files to its maximum storage capacity of 2GB.

Voice recording, built-in games and three hours of video playback on the rechargeable battery are some other features to note. While it’s not incredibly innovative with features, the LH-400 is still a bit of a looker which I would whistle at if it walked down the street past me.
