lg-touch-me.jpgLG Electronics is slowly rolling out globally a new touchscreen portable media player with the nickname of Touch Me (yes - bad marketing, we know). The FM37, previously available in Korea, is now appearing in Europe. Will an American launch soon follow?

The LG FM37’s most notable feature is its lack of any buttons on the front side of the player. It sports instead a nice touchscreen interface on its 2.4-inch QVGA TFT color LCD. The FM37 is capable of playing MPEG4, WMV and H.264 video file formats as well as MP3, WMA and OGG audio. It is available with 2GB or 4GB of memory of flash memory and uses Flash technology for its GUI.

Other interesting features of the FM37 include up to 20 hours of audio playback (three hours on video), a built-in FM tuner, voice recorder and support for USB 2.0. If this player does ever make it Stateside I imagine it will draw a small fanbase because of its nice design and touchscreen interface.
